This is a pretty great idea. I'd say it should be opened up a bit though to also include other resources that might list venues or contacts (message boards, collectives, etc).

Kalamazoo, MI also has a huge and awesome DIY scene that you should check out if given the chance. If you need help setting up anything with them, please shoot em an email over at DITKalamazoo at Gmail or check out the page for more info.

If you're coming through North Carolina from Richmond I book shows at a place called Rivalry Studio in Rocky Mount, NC. Good sized DIY venue that doubles as a recording studio. Two hours from Richmond, one hour from Raleigh and 3 and a half from Charlotte.
